Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a specialized facility dedicated to patients who require intensive monitoring, nursing care and complex respiratory support. The ICU is staffed 24 hours a day by board-certified specialists and highly trained nurses who are committed to providing quality clinical care. ICU nurses trained in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) and offer advanced care to adults. Each patient is under the direct care of consultant anesthetists and a consultant of the relevant specialty. Usually, one nurse is allocated to one or two patients with a senior nurse in overall charge. This permits patients to receive competent, compassionate, and individualized care. Specialists are available for consultation, insuring the most up-to-date and complete treatment plan.
