The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a specially equipped unit that provides highly skilled life-saving interventions to critically ill newborns who need special services. This unit with the most advanced capabilities and the most qualified healthcare provides 24-hour health services. With the benefits and expertise of an academic medical center, expectant mothers and newborns have access to the wide range of neonatal services. Our nurses understand the unique medical needs of newborns and can teach parents to understand how best to care for their babies. Parents are an integral member of our care team, and we promote healthy living options, including the use of breast milk.

NICU team

The multi-disciplinary team includes:

Full- time neonatologists, with 1 present on the unit at all times.

Neonatal fellow

Board-certified physicians

High survival rate of premature infants

Post-discharge specialized care

Continuous psychological support for parents

24 hour visit for mothers & once a day for fathers

Existence of experienced neonatal teams
